Blood Donation Drive with LifeSouth, hosted by the John H. Martinson Honors Program

Hosted by the Honors Leadership Council's Civic Service Committee, the John H. Martinson Honors Program is hosting a campus-wide donation drive with LifeSouth. The event will be on Friday, January 30th 2026 from 10:00am-3:00pm in the Exhibition Hall in the Home Park room on the second floor. This opportunity is open to the Georgia Tech community, so share with those you know! More information will be emailed to attendees who sign up.

What is LifeSouth?
LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. The blood supply collected from donors directly serves the needs of patients in the local Atlanta community. As a blood donor, you are a vital part of a team of individuals working together to save the lives of patients in our area’s hospitals. How do I prepare to donate?
- Drink plenty of water
- Eat iron-rich foods
- Get a good night's sleep
- Avoid aspirin for at least two days before your donation
