Primary tabs
This dynamic workshop, hosted by Georgia Tech’s Career Center and Exploratory Advising, empowers students to connect their academic choices with future career opportunities. Through interactive activities, participants will explore their values, interests, personality, and skills (VIPS) to understand how these shape majors, internships, and professional paths. Students will learn strategies to articulate their academic story, craft recruiter-ready elevator pitches, and confidently showcase how their major aligns with career goals. Perfect for anyone preparing for career fairs or networking conversations! By the end of this workshop, students will be able to:
- Identify their core values, interests, personality traits, and skills (VIPS) and explain how these influence academic and career decisions.
- Connect their chosen major (or academic experiences) to potential career paths and articulate this alignment confidently.
- Develop a concise, recruiter-ready elevator pitch that highlights academic strengths and career goals.
- Apply strategies for showcasing transferable skills and motivations during networking and career fair conversations.
