Director of the Space Research Institute Jud Ready will share the story of solar cells in orbit that failed to perform as expected, offering insight into the realities of scientific experimentation. Building on this narrative, artist Dylan Cawthorne will guide participants in transforming this research failure into a kinetic sculpture, demonstrating how unexpected outcomes can spark innovation and new artistic techniques.

This hands-on workshop encourages curiosity, experimentation, and reflection on the beauty of failure as a creative force. No art experience is necessary—just an openness to explore, create, and rethink how we define success. Free food will be provided.
