MLK Celebration: National Center Civil and Human Rights Tour
Primary tabs
Join us on Jan. 23 for a powerful and engaging culmination to MLK Week as we journey together to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights to explore the newly curated exhibit - A Committed Life: The Morehouse College Martin Luther King, Jr. Collection. This immersive experience invites all Georgia Tech students to learn more about the historical and contemporary movements that have shaped our country’s progress towards Dr. King’s dream of a beloved community.
Participants will take part in a guided tour of the museum, engage with interactive exhibits, and learn about the global currents of human rights that continue to inform our world today. Following the tour, we will gather for thoughtful reflection and constructive dialogue, creating space to share stories and perspectives, ask questions, and deepen our understanding of Dr. King’s legacy and the ongoing pursuit for unity and human dignity.
Come be part of this meaningful experience during MLK Week as we honor history, engage with the present, and reflect on the role we each play in shaping the future.
Transportation will be provided. Please meet on the 3rd floor of the John Lewis Student Center at the Center of Student Engagement at 1:30pm. From there we will walk down to the bus pick-up location as a group.
