Navigating Well-Being
Primary tabs
Navigating Well-Being is an interactive session designed to help students understand where to go for support at Georgia Tech. Through real-life scenarios, attendees will learn the roles of key campus resources—including CMHCR, Stamps Psychiatry, Disability Services, the Wellness Empowerment Center, and the Dean of Students. The event promotes emotional wellness, reduces confusion around help-seeking, and empowers students to make informed decisions for themselves and their peers.
This event aims to demystify the roles and responsibilities of several key student-facing offices by exploring common real-life scenarios that students may encounter. Participants will gain clarity on when and how to seek support from the following campus resources:
- Center for Mental Health Care & Resources (CMHCR)
- Stamps Psychiatry Clinic
- Office of Disability Services (ODS)
- Wellness Empowerment Center (WEC)
- Office of the Dean of Students
Through facilitated discussion and guided examples, students will learn:
- The types of services each office provides
- Common misconceptions about each office's role
- How to make appropriate referrals
- How these offices collaborate to support student needs holistically
This session is highly recommended for new students, student leaders, teaching assistants, peer mentors, and anyone interested in improving access to student support at Georgia Tech.
