Summary

This work investigates the viability of SiGe BiCMOS as a potential technology platform for compact, low-cost mm-Wave radiometers targeting CubeSat-based remote sensing applications. Several key building blocks are designed at 200 GHz to evaluate system feasibility, including a gain-boosted low-noise amplifier, a high-power frequency multiplier, and a enhanced-linearity downconverting mixer. The results demonstrate that 5th-generation SiGe BiCMOS has the potential to achieve the performance and integration level necessary for future spaceborne radiometric instruments.
