The 2025 STS Graduate Symposium will feature presentations by advanced graduate students from around campus doing work related to topics in Science & Technology Studies. Come for coffee, donuts, and conversation.
The talks will include:
- "Designing with(in) Precarity" by Sylvia Janicki, Digital Media (LMC)
- "The Politics of Energy Transition: A Forgotten History of China’s Charcoal Automobility, 1930s–1950s" by Zhongxian Xiao, History and Sociology
- "Postphenomenological Insights from an In-the-Wild Collective Sensing System Deployment for PTSD Therapy" by Nathaniel Swinger, Human Centered Computing.
This event takes place in association with the IAC Graduate Certificate in STS. All are welcome to attend.
