                                                                              Space Force: Fact or Fiction?

Kaitlyn Johnson (40 Under 40 Alumni) is the deputy director of the Chief of Space Operations’ Strategic Initiatives Group for the U.S. Space Force. In this role, she advises on Space Force strategic messaging, institutional policies, change management, organizational development, and space strategy. Before this, Johnson was a deputy director and fellow of the Aerospace Security Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. There, she specialized in topics such as space security, military space systems, and commercial and civil space policy. She is widely published on national security space reorganization, space threats, commercial space, escalation and deterrence dynamics, and cislunar activities.

In her talk, Space Force: Fact or Fiction?, Johnson will address how the new service is often misunderstood. She will explore the myths and realities surrounding the U.S. Space Force, highlighting its approach to space defense technologies and its priorities in international affairs.

This event is co-hosted by the Space Research Institute (SRI) and Center for Space Policy and International Relations (CSPIR).

Parking: If you are driving a car to the Georgia Tech campus, the most convenient visitor parking lot is the North Campus Parking Deck (W23/Visitor Area 5) located at 911 State Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30318. This parking deck is accessed from State Street. If you exit the parking deck to Atlantic Drive NW, the EBB is to the left of the parking deck. The North Campus Parking Deck is just south of the EBB.
