Vice President for Campus Services Announces Retirement

Primary tabs

After more than 16 years of service to Georgia Tech, Rosalind Meyers, vice president for campus services, will retire this fall.

“During her tenure at Tech, Rosalind has been the driving force behind a number of efforts to improve and expand this campus, including the development of new residence life programs and residence halls, the addition of a variety of new dining and retail locations, including the Barnes and Noble at Georgia Tech bookstore, and the construction of the Health Services building,” said Steve Swant, executive vice president for administration and finance. “We are profoundly grateful for all she has done to make Georgia Tech the campus that it is today.”

Meyers joined Tech as associate vice president for auxiliary services, a position that she held for more than 14 years. When the campus services unit was established in February 2010 as part of the administration and finance organizational realignment, Meyers accepted her current role where she oversees auxiliary services, human resources and business services. In her current position, Meyers has directed the rollout of BuzzMart, an online procurement system; an applicant tracking system for individuals applying for classified staff positions; the development of the North Avenue Dining Hall; and the renovation of the historic Academy of Medicine, among other projects.

“My time at Georgia Tech has been the most productive and fulfilling of my career,” Meyers said. “I have enjoyed it immensely and developed a deep love for this great institution, its students and the people who work here. Everything I have given to Tech has been returned to me many times over. Although the time has come for me to pursue other interests and roads in life, a part of my heart will always remain here at Georgia Tech.”

A national search will begin in the near future to identify a replacement for Meyers, who will remain actively engaged in her current role until the transition is complete. The search for a new vice president, who will continue to oversee the auxiliary services, business services, and human resources functions, will be supported by JulieAnne Williamson, assistant vice president for administration and finance. Questions regarding the transition or search may be directed to julieanne@gatech.edu.
