The Technological Nomad: A Political Regulative Ideal From an Object-Oriented Philosophy of Technology

Primary tabs

This talk by Kaush Kalidindi, doctoral candidate at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, diagnoses the problem of alienation between culture and technology in a GenAI era and foregrounds a terrain of political regimes that co-constitute this alienation. The technological nomad is then introduced as a conceptual persona uniquely equipped to navigate and transform this terrain, such that the technical object is conceived as emerging from within culture rather than as an external institutional imposition.
