RoboCraft: Where Arts & Crafts Meet Robotics Research

Primary tabs

Date/Time: Now through July 18, weekdays from 3:00 to 6:00 PM
Location: Ground Floor, Klaus Classroom Wing (next to the Rainbow Stairs)

Hosted by AI-CARING researchers at Georgia Tech, RoboCraft is a walk-in arts and crafts center that brings together hands-on creativity and robotics research. Led by Kartik Ramachandruni and Maithili Varang Patel, the experience is part of an interactive study exploring how robots can learn to assist humans by observing natural, everyday behavior.

Whether you're crafting a coaster, designing a sun catcher, or experimenting with moss art, RoboCraft offers a fun and relaxing space for all ages—including kids.

What to Expect

  • A variety of materials for creative crafting
  • Take-home artwork
  • A robot assistant observing human interaction in a natural setting
  • Casual, drop-in experience—no registration required
  • A chance to contribute to cutting-edge AI research

Why It Matters
RoboCraft supports AI-CARING’s mission to develop collaborative AI systems that can meaningfully assist people in daily life, particularly older adults and caregivers. Gaining insights into how people naturally work, create, and interact is essential for building AI that adapts to real-world social environments.

Invite a friend, bring your kids, and stop by any weekday afternoon.
