As part of the ongoing Ferst Drive Realignment Project, the following work will affect vehicular and pedestrian circulation in the areas noted below. No road closures are planned; however, traffic will be flagged through active work zones. Commuters should expect delays.  

Pedestrian and Roadway Disruptions: 

Beginning Friday, July 11 

• The southeast corner of Fifth Street and Techwood Drive will reopen to pedestrian traffic. 

• Demolition will begin on the southwest corner of Fifth Street and Techwood Drive. 

• The sidewalk on the south side of Fifth Street between Techwood Drive and Fowler Street will close through July 25. 

Monday, July 14, Through Wednesday, July 23 

• Milling operations will take place along Fifth Street and Ferst Drive, from Russ Chandler Stadium to the Fifth Street Bridge, July 14 – 16. 

• Milling of failing sections of asphalt on Fowler Street and Fourth Street is scheduled for July 16. To facilitate this work, parking along Fowler Street will be closed July 15 – 23. Please refer to the map for parking impacts. 

• Paving will occur along Fifth Street and Ferst Drive July 21 – 23. 

• Paving will be completed on Fowler Street and Fourth Street on July 23.
