Howell elected to AAMG role

Virginia Howell, Director of the Robert C. Williams Museum of Papermaking, has been elected the Vice President of Membership for the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries (AAMG). This is a three-year term, and Howell will also serve on the Executive Committee for the organization. 

 

AAMG is the leading national educational and professional organization for academic museums, galleries, and collections. The organization establishes and supports best practices, educational activities, and professional development to enable member organizations to fulfill their educational missions. As VP of Membership, Howell will be tasked with continuing to build a vibrant community of diverse colleagues from institutions of all sizes and disciplines. 

 

Howell has served as the AAMG Georgia state representative and the southeastern region co-representative. She is also active in the Southeastern Museums Conference and Georgia Association of Museums.
