This Annual Safety Training course is crafted for utilities maintenance personnel, focusing on critical safety protocols and best practices essential for a safe and efficient work environment. Participants will engage in a program that includes the following key components:
1. Employee Injury Reporting: Emphasizing the proper procedures for reporting injuries to ensure timely response and compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.
2. Ladder Safety Awareness: Covering safe ladder usage, including inspection, placement, and techniques to prevent falls, ensuring employees are well-versed in ladder safety.
3. Fall Protection: Providing insights into fall hazards and preventive measures, including the use of safety harnesses and systems designed to protect workers from fall-related injuries.
4. Confined Space Training: Educating employees on safe practices for entering and working in confined spaces, including hazard identification, monitoring, and emergency procedures.
5.Lockout Tagout (LOTO):Understanding the LOTO process to enforce safety during the maintenance of energy-isolated equipment, ensuring that machines are properly shut down and unable to start during repairs.
6. Bucket Truck Safety: Training on safe operation techniques for bucket trucks, including secure usage protocols and situational awareness to avoid accidents.( Hands-on & Classroom)
7. Electrical Safety Awareness: Highlighting the importance of electrical safety measures, including hazard recognition and safe work practices when dealing with electrical systems.
This two part in-person/classroom training equips utilities maintenance employees with vital knowledge and practical skills, fostering a safer workplace and reducing the risk of accidents in their critical roles.
