Come with GT Birdwatchers to get some hands-on experience with bird fieldwork at the Panola Mountain Banding Station! Watch certified banders extract and document birds while getting the opportunity to participate in science, and get the chance to hold and release birds yourself. This is also a great way to escape into nature and see a beautiful sunrise.
 

Anyone carpooling will be leaving from the Area 4 Visitor Parking lot promptly at 5:20 am to make sure we arrive at the gate (address provided) before 6:10 am. If you choose to drive yourself, please make you arrive at the gate promptly at that time. Last banding will happen at 12:00 PM.
