The objective of the proposed research is to create a practical framework for evaluating investments in distributed energy resources and equitable rate design for a community microgrid. This framework will consider how energy is shared between consumers and prosumers. It addresses the need for a quantitative approach to assess renewable energy investments and provides a model to measure progress towards community regeneration goals like equity and resilience, all within the context of renewable energy investments.
