IEEE PES @ GT - Oxy Electrical Engineering Info Session

Representatives from Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy) will introduce career opportunities as electrical power engineers at Oxy. The session will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Room 205 @ Instructional Center on September 6.
Free food will be provided to all attendees!
Keith Kimbrough (Sr. Electrical Engineering Advisor)
Keith Kimbrough received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2006. Upon graduation, he took a position in Midland, TX with Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy), one of the largest oil and gas companies in the United States. He subsequently obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Power and Energy Systems from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is currently employed by Oxy’s Onshore Resources and Carbon Management (ORCM) business unit as a Senior Electrical Engineering Advisor. His professional interests include power system protection, relaying, and SCADA.
Carlos Ramirez Franco (Mgr Electrical)
Carlos Ramirez Franco obtained his BSEE from the Polytechnic University Institute of the National Armed Forces (IUPFAN) in Venezuela and a Postgraduate Diploma in Electrical Industrial Installations from Simón Bolívar University (USB) in Venezuela. Carlos is a professional engineer in Alberta, Canada. He is Senior Member of IEEE and he has published a few technical paper papers in the Electrical field previously, 2 of them for an IEEE international conference. He was an Electrical Reliability Engineer for PDVSA (Petroleum de Venezuela), a Lead Reliability Engineer Electrical-Instrumentation-Control (EIC) for Suncor Energy in Canada, Electrical Reliability Engineer Advisor for Hess Corporation in the USA. Carlos is currently the Electrical Manager for OXY in US Onshore.
