Science and Community Engagement Networking Reception

Primary tabs

The Energy, Policy, and Innovation Center (EPICenter) and the Serve-Learn-Sustain (SLS) at Georgia Tech invite you to attend a Science and Community Engagement networking reception on Friday, June 9th from 6:30pm – 9pm in Georgia Tech’s Kendeda Building. This reception is part of the Southeast Environmental Justice Summit, held from June 7th – 11th at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead.

The reception will include tours of the Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design as well as the Eco Commons. The Kendeda Building is the first building in Georgia and 28th in the world to earn Living Building Challenge (LBC) certification, the world’s most ambitious and holistic green building achievement. Rather than being less bad for the environment, The Kendeda Building fosters regenerative and restorative relationships amongst humans and nature where people give back more to the environment than they take.

The reception will include conference attendees as well as on and off campus partners.

Transportation from the Grand Hyatt Buckhead will be provided to all conference attendees. The buses will depart the hotel at 6:00pm, arriving at Georgia Tech by 6:30pm. Buses will depart Kendeda at 9:00pm to return attendees to the hotel.
