In this talk, Kathy Araujo, professor of sustainable energy systems, innovation, and policy and director of the Energy Policy Institute at Boise State University, will consider insights and questions about energy transitions and sustainability that have emerged. in research and practice associated with low carbon change. Highlights will be drawn from a multi-decadal study of decarbonizing change in Denmark, France, Iceland, and Brazil, as well as a recent examination of regional diversification potential in two communities within the fossil-fuel exporting states of Alaska and Wyoming.
