This talks explores how we might expand the language of Interactive Digital Narrative (IDN) design to incorporate the queer experience as found in the research of Queer Theorists. This talk focuses on the creation of a foil term to IDN's Active Creation of Belief (ACOB) though a bridging of the concept of Queer Failure to ACOB through the Science Fiction concept of Cognitive Estrangement.
