Primary tabs

Following a national search, Kim Harrington has been named the inaugural executive director for Student Engagement and Well-Being. She currently serves as associate vice president and chief of staff for Administration and Finance.

“I am honored and thrilled to join the Division of Student Engagement and Well-Being,” Harrington said. “Our students have always been my focus, and this role provides the opportunity to work with them more closely and to more directly support student success. I believe in the vision outlined in the Cultivate Well-Being Action and Transformation Roadmap, and I look forward to working with Luoluo Hong, vice president for Student Engagement and Well-Being, and the entire division to see those goals come to fruition for the campus community.”

Harrington has 31 years of experience in higher education — 21 of them at Georgia Tech. Her professional experience includes student services, student affairs, human resources, facility operations, financial management, program delivery, and executive administration.

“My position was newly established just over a year ago. I am excited to begin the process of building the team who will help me support the Division of Student Engagement and Well-Being and the needs of our students going forward,” Hong said.

Harrington will serve as Hong’s chief of staff, ensuring that the vision, mission, strategic priorities, goals, and daily operations of the division are carried out effectively. Working in close consultation and collaboration with Hong and all members of the division’s leadership team, Harrington will provide administrative, operational, and change management support. She will start her new role on Oct. 1.

  • Tracey Huddleston, executive assistant to the president, Office of the President
