Professor Tibor Besedes' research focuses on international trade, economic decision making, and behavioral and experimental economics. Originally from Croatia, his affinity for economics began when his family relocated to Budapest, Hungary. The economics courses he took in high school had a lasting impact and shaped his thinking and his career. In college, he realized that economics can shed light on a number of interesting questions and can help us understand why and how people behave. Tibor can succinctly provide explanations and commentary on topics such as economic sanctions, supply chains, trade, and inflation.
