Joe Saleh, who passed away earlier this month, will be remembered at a memorial service in the Exhibition Hall on Wednesday, April 27, from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. The event will be held in Midtown V on the ground floor and is open to the GT community.

Dr. Saleh was a faculty member in the AE School for 15 years. He received the AE School’s Outstanding Faculty Award in 2012, 2018, and 2019, and was presented the Institute’s highest teaching honor — the Class of 1940 W. Roane Beard Outstanding Teaching Award — in 2016. His research focused on spacecraft reliability and multi-state failure analysis. Professor Saleh also had a passion for overall safety and risk prevention. This winter, as part of his research focus, he launched a national accident and injury prevention competition for undergraduate and graduate students, challenging them to solve system safety problems in society.
