Art-O-Mat: Meet the Creator!

Primary tabs

The Library has recently become a host for one of four Art-O-Mats in Georgia! Located on the Grove Level of Price Gilbert, Georgia Tech's space and science-themed Art-O-Mat dispenses tiny custom art pieces just for you.

Clark Whittington, creator of the Art-O-Mat project, will visit campus to talk about the history of the project, his inspirations and advice for budding artists. This free event will be held in Price Gilbert's first-floor Scholars Event Network Theater Monday, March 28 starting at 5 p.m.

Art-O-Mat machines are retired cigarette vending machines that have been converted to vend art. There are more than 100 active machines in various locations throughout the country (learn more at artomat.org).

Have your own Art-O-Mat submission idea? Whittington will brainstorm ideas with attendees in this workshop-style event. Prototype kits will be available for a limited number of attendees, so be sure to show up early.

Additional information will be sent to the e-mail you registered with.
