In this talk, Michelle Louie, senior portfolio manager in the Equity Index Group at Vanguard and Georgia Tech Scheller MBA alum, will discuss passive investing. Learn about the rationale for this type of investing, why it has attracted a large investor inflow, the increased volume of investors, and the future of passive investing. Jonathan Clarke, senior associate dean of programs and associate professor of finance, will moderate the discussion.

About Michelle Louie

Michelle Louie, CFA, is a senior portfolio manager in the Equity Index Group at Vanguard managing over $1 trillion in funds for Vanguard. She has worked in investment management since 2011 and has co-managed both international and U.S. domestic index funds. Currently, she is the co-manager of Vanguard 500 Index Fund and Vanguard Institutional Index Fund, as well as several other funds. Ms. Louie received her undergraduate degree from American University and her MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Scheller College of Business
