A year-long study was conducted on water quality produced throughout the treatment trains of two pilot systems, a drinking water facility, and water reclamation facility. The study collected data on current IPR practices and explored ozone-biofiltration in potential DPR applications. The results indicated that at least a blend of 15% reclaim water could be utilized to supplement the drinking water facilities intake. Drinking water standards and regulation were violated at higher blend ratios. The contaminants that were in violation were cyanide, nitrate, bromate, DEHP, color, and manganese. These primary and secondary MCL violations were typically very close to the MCL and with adjustments to treatment processes, higher blend ratios may be possible.
