Abstract: The objective of this proposed research is the development of a new approach in adapting and optimizing ML algorithms to craft computationally efficient and accurate models for learning and interpretation of input-output relationships in a wide range of engineering and science disciplines with demonstrated applicability to two widely different high-impact applications in nanophotonic inverse design and medical diagnosis and prognosis using imaging, clinical, and demographic data of the patients.
