The Georgia Tech Archives, in partnership with Alumni Association’s Living History Program and Black Alumni Organization (GTBAO), will host an open house Friday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. showcasing exclusive historical items highlighting 60 years of Black excellence on campus.

“Capturing Our History” includes photos, artwork, and historical items from the Archives and members of GTBAO. It will take place in the Archives Reading Room, located on the first floor of Crosland Tower.

Select items will be on display in the Archives Reading Room’s display cases through the beginning of Spring Semester.

This event is part of the year-long commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Black students matriculating at the Institute and their profound contributions to Georgia Tech and the community. Entitled “60 Years. Celebrating our Past, Continuing Our Legacy,” it includes podcasts with the school’s early Black alumni, faculty and staff.
