The theme for the spring: "It's All About the Jobs: Creating Quality Jobs in a Time of Economic Recovery."

STIP is sponsored by the Georgia Tech School of Public Policy and Georgia Tech's Enterprise Innovation Institute

Abstract:
Using highly trained labor available in low-cost-of-living, high-quality-of-life communities such as Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Augusta, Georgia, Rural Sourcing helps businesses reduce their information technology costs while generating new high-tech jobs. Hamilton will speak on job creation through "rural sourcing" of jobs and how it can trigger growth in locations harmed by the loss of manufacturing.
