Dr. Bowman Helped Facilitate the 13th Annual Georgia Tech Diversity Symposium
On September 15, 2021, Dr. Kirk Bowman, a Full Professor at the Sam Nunn School, facilitated a portion of Georgia Tech's 13th Annual Diversity Symposium. This year's symposium, entitled "The Globalization of Anti-Racism Activism," featured Ibram X. Kendi, a historian and award-winning author of How to Be An Antiracist. The event included a panel discussion with Georgia Tech faculty, students, and alumni about local, national, and international anti-racism movements. Dr. Bowman facilitated the discussion on "Global and Local Connections," helping guide the participants on topics of collective action and community responses to local acts of racism.
