Photoshop for Beginners

Primary tabs

Adobe Photoshop is a graphics/image editing program included in the Adobe Creative Suite. The software is often used by graphic artists, print designers, visual communicators, and regular people like you.

Pictures in things such as posters, books, magazines, and brochures are often created or edited in Photoshop.

In these crash course workshops we will experiment with variety of Photoshop tools and techniques to get you started. We will cover things such as liquify, cloning tools, spot healing, blending images using layer masks, examples of portrait retouching, adjusting image brightness/contrast and creating special effects.

Topics vary in workshops. A more detailed agenda of topics will be sent to the e-mail you provide, closer to the time.

These classes are open to all Georgia Tech-affiliated undergrads, grads, faculty and staff.

Workshops are usually held in the Georgia Tech Library, Crosland Tower, Room 2130 on the second floor.

Updates and information on the class, such as cancellations or rescheduling, will be sent to the e-mail you provided on your registration form.

Classes are free and drop-in. They are tailored to the Georgia Tech community.
