Live Music Kicks Off the Georgia Tech Arts Skyline Series

Primary tabs

Have you seen what’s going on at the W21 parking lot, across from the Kendeda Building? After a year of limited arts performances on campus, Georgia Tech Arts is excited to roll out the 'green turf' carpet as we welcome a months-long series of performances under the stars! The stage has been built, the seating pods set up, and the first artists have shared their music with us as Georgia Tech Arts launched the Skyline Series!

The Georgia Tech Arts Skyline Series began its six-week program of music, dance, theater, and conversation with two exceptional concerts. We vibed with student musicians at Chill on the Hill on Friday, March 26, and reveled in the energy and style of Mwenso & the Shakes on Sunday, March 28.

The music continues with recitals by a range of ensembles from the Georgia Tech School of Music as well as concerts by local pop-rock band, Koyal, the ATL Collective presenting Dolly Parton's Jolene, and the phenomenal guitarist, Kaki King.

The School of Music concerts, April 16-20, are FREE! There’s something for everyone that week, from the Laptop Orchestra and New Music Ensembles to the Jazz Combos and Chamber Choir!

Georgia Tech Arts Skyline Series will continue through May 18 with performances that will also include theater, contemporary dance, and ballet and feature a mix of Georgia Tech groups, Atlanta arts companies, and internationally recognized artists from outside of Georgia.

Celebrate spring and the arts in an inviting outdoor space that is safe for all!
