BEAM SIGNING HAS BEEN EXTENDED!

Due to the inclement weather on March 31, the beam signing has been extended to include Thursday, April 1 from 9 a.m. - noon. The topping out will take place after noon, but the related ceremony will not be rescheduled. The community is invited to watch the beam be placed live on our social media. 

It's time to leave your mark on the new Student Center! The entire campus community is invited to be a part of the tradition at our Beam Signing and Topping Out Ceremony on Wednesday, March 31st. 

9 a.m. - 12 p.m. | Beam Signing 

The beam will be placed on the eastern edge of the Student Center's construction site (adjacent to Tech Green), where students, staff, faculty, and friends can sign the beam before it's put in place on top of the new building.

Sanitized sharpies will be available. Masks or facial coverings and adherence to distancing markers are required to participate. 

 

3 - 3:30 p.m. | Topping Out - POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER

The Topping Out Ceremony has been postponed due to inclement weather. The ceremony and beam placement will take place as soon as possible - the community will be able to catch footage of the Topping Out on  the Student Center's Facebook page when it occurs. 

The community is invited to stick around after signing the beam to see it go into place, thereby completing the structure of the new Student Center! The beam will be raised and placed while brief remarks are made to honor this momentous occasion.
