He sought to create a career capitalizing on this skill in the tech industry without the need to be technical. In this seminar, Kendrick will share his journey from an Electrical Engineering student to a successful Program Manager at Google, while making a real-world impact and developing leadership skills as a driver of diversity and inclusion intiatives at the company.

Biographical Sketch of the Speaker:
Kendrick Treadwell manages the operations of a global team as a Program Manager for Google Developer Studio, an in-house creative agency that partners strategically with Google’s product areas (e.g., Android, Google Chrome, etc.) to create content and experiences to educate, inspire, and inform software developers around the world. Kendrick was most recently 1 of 9 alumni featured in the Georgia Tech College of Engineer’s fall 2020 Helluva Engineer magazine article “The Rising Stars of Engineering,” representing the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Kendrick is currently part of a team leading Google’s multimillion-dollar initiative to help improve the Black community’s access to education and economic opportunity in its developer ecosystem, and increase equity, representation, and inclusion across Google’s developer platforms. He also mentors a Georgia Tech student who has interned at Google over consecutive summers.
