OMED: Educational Services 2021 Academic Empowerment Fair

In honor of Black History Month, the Office of Minority Education Development (OMED) and the African American Male Initiative (AAMI), in collaboration with the Georgia Tech African American Student Union (AASU), will host its fourth Academic Empowerment Fair on February 18, 2021. The Academic Empowerment Fair is held annually to recognize, support, and enhance Black excellence on Georgia Tech's campus. (This year's fair will be held virtually via the Hopin event platform.) 

Students will have an opportunity to:

  • Receive one-on-one undergraduate and graduate advisement (earn chances to receive free registration to professional conferences!)
     
  • Have their resume reviewed and take part in mock interviews with corporate representatives between noon and 4 p.m. (earn a chance to win a prizes like corporate swag, food delivery, and more!)
     
  • Attend OMED campus partners oppportunity sessions between noon and 4 p.m. (special AEF performance and recognition grants will be awarded!) 
     
  • Meet corporate partner executives and representatives as they discuss company updates, internships, co-ops, and employment opportunities (every session has a chance to win prizes!)
