Urban Experiences in Education

Primary tabs

This event will be our first event of the semester, and we will be hosting a speaker session and answering any questions you may have about getting involved with Common Good Georgia Tech!  We're very excited to kick off the semester with Christopher Burke, Georgia Tech's Director of Community Relations, who has examined and will be speaking about the effects of race, poverty, and other socioeconomic dynamics on available educational opportunities.  Chris Burke experience as a leader in the Atlanta area is very important to our mission, as we are a club hoping to foster more connections between Georgia Tech students and students in the city we live in.  We hope you'll join us to learn more about other students in Atlanta and the importance in educating ourselves on the effects of systemic and social dynamics on education opportunity.

The event will include time for questions and additional details about joining our organization for anyone interested!!  Even if you are not interested in joining CGGT, we'd love for you to attend this event and join us in our goal of promoting more discussions about the impacts of race, poverty, and other socioeconomic dynamics on education!
