Material Diversions Class Showcase – Earth Day

Primary tabs

Débora Mesa teaches with the school of Architecture. Her studio class, Material Diversions, tasks students to look at unique materials to create new ideas for building structures. The idea being what would happen if these materials could be given a second life, not only to be kept out of landfills, but to contribute to creating useful buildings or gathering places. The class could work individually or in groups and explored a wide range of materials from plastic grocery bags to tires and many things in between. To see their work, visit the Earth Day website.
