Impact Presents: “How Companies Approach Social Impact and Sustainability”

In her role as the Chief of Corporate Citizenship, Katie Beacham is responsible for strategy and execution of the firm’s community leadership, philanthropy, volunteerism, and sustainability initiatives while helping the firm fulfill our responsibilities to our stakeholders, including our clients, our people, our communities, and our planet. Katie works closely with the firm’s senior management and in coordination with the firm’s Pro Bono and Diversity and Inclusion programs.

Katie is a corporate citizenship leader with more than 20 years of experience in social impact and sustainability, strategy and operations, philanthropy, volunteer management, community partnerships, impact measurement, and communications.

Prior to joining the firm, Katie was the founding director of corporate social responsibility (CSR) at a Fortune 500 payments and financial technology company where she led and scaled the company’s global CSR and sustainability function. Previously, Katie led corporate citizenship strategy and programs for one of the "Big Four" accounting and consulting firms where she designed, implemented, and led social impact strategy for education and military/veterans and oversaw an employee community engagement portfolio for 60,000+ professionals. She began her career as a management consultant, advising nonprofit and public sector organizations.

Katie is a frequent speaker on social purpose and employee engagement.

About the Impact Speaker Series:

Since 2002, the IMPACT Speaker Series has brought highly successful business leaders from a variety of industries to campus to share their experiences and give advice to students and other entrepreneurs on topics ranging from "building a venture around intellectual capital" to "successful entrepreneurship in large organizations" and "socially responsible leadership." The weekly series provides Georgia Tech students, alumni, and the Atlanta business community an opportunity to network and learn from successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and notable business and non-profit leaders. The lecture series is sponsored by the Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship.

The series is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.
