Abstract:
The objective of the proposed research is to develop silicon-based multi-modal cellular and electrochemical sensor array for holistic cell characterization. The proposed techniques enable massively paralleled real-time monitoring of multiple physiological cell features for holistic and quantitative cell characterizations with low-cost, high-yield and high biocompatibility and durability making it a dominant technology in mass-production electronics. Therefore, the proposed CMOS multi-modality sensor can be applied to a wide range of applications, such as pharmaceuticals, personalized medicine/diagnosis and chemical syntheses of novel compounds.
