New Permit Sales and Virtual Permits

Driverseat.gatech.edu will open for permit sales July 24, 2019. Log on to purchase Annual Individual, Carpool, Semester, Evening/Weekend, SmartPark & Motorcycle permits.

The following locations will go “permitless” in 2019-2020 as part of the Virtual Permit Program:

  • W02-Student Center Deck

  • E81-Tech Square Deck

  • W22-Dalney Street Deck (scheduled to open August 2019)

  • W23-North Campus Deck

  • E82-Centergy Deck

  • ER53-North Ave. Apartments North Deck

  • ER54-North Ave. Apartments South Deck

Customers in these locations may purchase/renew their permits as usual at driverseat.gatech.edu. However, they will not receive a physical permit to display in their cars. Be sure to update your license plate information as it will be used for gate access via license plate recognition readers.

Benefits of the virtual permit program include reducing the number of physical permits mailed from the PTS office; eliminating parking customers’ need to display permits as they have in previous years; and reducing the number of customers purchasing permits in the PTS office.

BuzzCards will continue to be the method of entry in each of the pilot decks.

NOTE: Customers will be required to park head-in only (no backing in) as their license plate information will be used for parking enforcement. Vehicles that are backed in are subject to citation.
