11th Annual Diversity Symposium

Primary tabs

Please save the date, September 4, 2019, for Georgia Tech’s 11th Annual Diversity Symposium, “Georgia Tech's Racial Diversity Journey: Recognizing Our Past, Acknowledging Our Present, and Charting Our Future.”

The morning will begin with a panel conversation with Ford Greene, Ralph Long, Jr. and Lawrence Williams -- the Institute’s first black matriculants -- and Ronald Yancey -- the first black graduate of Georgia Tech. The afternoon will be highlighted by an on-campus unveiling and statue dedication of the men to mark their significance in our community's history.

On behalf of the Office of the President and Institute Diversity, we invite all members of our campus community to attend this year’s Diversity Symposium as we work together to build “One Georgia Tech,” which values and respects every idea and contribution.

More information can be found at: https://diversity.gatech.edu/diversitysymposium.

Due to limited seating and a high level of responses, we have reached maximum capacity for the 11th Annual Diversity Symposium morning sessions and awards reception. If you would like to be added to the wait list, click here to register, and we will potentially confirm your registration by August 29 pending seating availability.

We hope you will join us for what will surely be a momentous occasion for the Georgia Tech community.
