New Online Refill Prescription Option in the Pharmacy

Primary tabs

April is a time of warmer days and extra tissue boxes. Allergy season is upon us and the Stamps Health Services (SHS) pharmacy has everything you need for your over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription medication needs. The pharmacy is not just for students; faculty and staff can utilize this convenient resource as well! SHS pharmacist Janet Foley said, “we can fill prescriptions from physicians outside of SHS. We are set up to receive electronic prescriptions from any doctor's office or hospital. Simply have your doctor search their electronic system for Stamps Health Services. Your doctor can send all prescriptions to us electronically including schedule II, III, IV, and V prescription medications.  We are set up to bill most insurance plans.”

Have you forgotten to refill your prescription in the past? Set up automatic refills and never miss your medication again. Patients have two easy ways to request prescription refills at the pharmacy. You can call the automated telephone refill system 24 hours a day (404-894-1430) or use the online refill prescription form.  Already have a prescription at your hometown pharmacy? Let us know the pharmacy name and phone number, and the prescription number and we’ll take care of the rest!  Are you leaving campus for the upcoming summer?  Typically, you can get enough medication to get you through the time you will be gone. If the cost is too high at one time, we can always transfer your prescription to your hometown pharmacy for the summer and transfer back any remaining refills in the fall (pursuant to that state’s laws). A valid ID must be provided with all prescriptions and transfers.

Save yourself time and get your allergies under control this season at the SHS pharmacy.  We have an assortment of OTC medications to meet your allergy needs.  If you need prescriptions to control your allergies, remember that the pharmacy accepts most prescription insurance plans and can fill prescriptions from physicians outside of SHS. You can find a full list of accepted insurance plans at health.gatech.edu/pharmacy.
