The Institute for People and Technology (IPaT) is excited to host a celebration of the forthcoming book All Data Are Local: Thinking Critically in a Data-Driven Society (MIT Press, 2019) by Yanni Alexander Loukissas, author and assistant professor of Digital Media in the Georgia Tech School of Literature, Media, and Communication. Set for release on April 23, the book examines how to analyze data settings rather than data sets, acknowledging the meaning-making power of the local.

Industry Innovation Day in Tech Square

This celebration is part of IPaT's signature event, Industry Innovation Day, on Thursday, April 18 in Tech Square. Join IPaT and the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Pediatric Technology Center for a day of thought-provoking discussions on the topic of Agile Health. Industry Innovation Day showcases research at the Institute for People and Technology and Georgia Tech and highlights collaborations with industry, government, and non-profit partners. In its fifth iteration, the 2019 Industry Innovation Day will spotlight hyper-local and personalized solutions that precisely satisfy diverse conditions for pediatric to aging populations.
