Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University, received the 2019 Mid-Career Award from the Society For Biomaterials (SFB). As the recipient of the Society For Biomaterials 2019 Mid-Career Award, Botchwey will receive a $1,000 award from the Society For Biomaterials, and travel expense reimbursement to the Society’s 2019 annual meeting in Seattle, WA.

“I am deeply honored to receive the Mid-Career Award [from the Society for Biomaterials], said Botchwey. “The Society has experienced tremendous growth and success in recent years and was the first scientific organization to which I belonged. I am proud to be involved with the Society. I also want to say thank you to my nominators and biomaterials colleagues here in the Coulter BME Department and the Petit Institute for their support.”
