GTRI Machine Services Open House

Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the Georgia Tech Research Institute Machine Services Department’s open house on Tuesday, September 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the department’s new location, 676 Marietta St. The first 100 attendees will receive lunch from Williamson Bros. Barbecue.

MSD has designed, fabricated, assembled and repaired clients’ custom projects for more than 70 years, and each craftsman can claim more than 25 years of experience. Along with the legacy of experience, the department uses the latest EDM (electrical discharge machines) and CNC (computer numerical controlled) and water-jet machines, which can produce the most intricate and precise machining in wood, plastic and metal.
