Value of a Purpose-Driven Life with Vic Strecher

Dr. Vic Strecher, CEO and Founder of JOOL Health, will be visiting campus for an invited talk on life purpose and well-being. Dr. Strecher has authored numerous studies on the science of purpose and will bring his insights to Georgia Tech employees and students on September 25, 2018 through a 1-hour talk on living a purpose-driven life.  JOOL encourages individuals to monitor how well they’re living according to their stated purpose, and helps them develop the energy and will-power they need to effectively pursue it. The app helps users improve the key health behaviors that support purposeful living in SPACE: sleep, presence (mindfulness), activity, creativity, and eating. Toward the end of his talk, attendees will be provided instructions on how to immediately download the JOOL app immediately to receive the benefits of purpose.

Vic Strecher is a behavioral scientist, professor, and Director of Innovation at the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health. In 1995, Vic founded U of M's Center for Health Communications Research. In 1998, he founded HealthMedia, a digital health coaching company that was sold to Johnson & Johnson in 2008. In 2015, he founded JOOL Health (www.joolhealth.com), a digital health solution company that integrates the science of purpose with machine learning and big data analytics to help individuals achieve harmonious balance across four dimensions of life including personal, family work and community.  His most recent book is Life On Purpose: How Living for What Matters Most Changes Everything.
