Design Atlanta Lecture: Architecture That Heals

Primary tabs

In collaboration with the the Museum of Design Atlanta, the School of Architecture is excited to co-host a lecture titled "Architecture That Heals," presented by Michael Murphy, Co-Founder and CEO of MASS Design Group.

Architecture That’s Built to Heal

Architecture is not neutral; it either hurts or heals. Architecture has the power to project its values far beyond the building’s walls and into the lives of communities and people. Co-founder and CEO of MASS Design Group, Michael Murphy, has leveraged this power of architecture in a holistic approach that produces community-centric buildings that are both beautiful and promote health, justice, and human dignity. Michael will showcase projects that utilize the MASS practice model: immersive study of each location for deep understanding of the challenges and advantages, design of buildings that will improve the well-being of patients and communities, low-impact and environmentally conscious construction that enriches the community, and evaluation of each design’s impact in improving lives.
