Bio
Jacquelyn Strickland is the academic advisor for the School of Building Construction. In this capacity, she advises undergraduates and master’s level students on academic progress and procedures such as registration. She serves Ph.D. students in the building construction major by facilitating administrative processes such as admission to candidacy. She coordinates the graduate admission process for the School. She also supports building construction faculty by assisting with course planning, schedule of classes, curriculum matters, and other items. Strickland works closely with the faculty and her fellow staff members in the Building Construction and College of Architecture offices, and with the Georgia Tech Office of Graduate Admissions/Graduate Studies and Registrar’s Office. Before coming to the School of Building Construction in fall 2009, Strickland worked in the Georgia Tech Registrar’s Office for four years, first on the Records and Registration team and subsequently on the Degree Certification team. She holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Georgia. Outside the office, she volunteers her time by tutoring and mentoring high school and college students. She also enjoys the arts, and loves taking advantage of the sporting events that Atlanta has to offer.
