Bio
James Spencer joined the College of Architecture in 2005 and serves as academic advisor to sophomore, junior, and senior architecture students, as well as students in the Master of Architecture graduate program. He is the 2007 recipient of the College of Architecture Staff Achievement Award, and his work was recently published in The Mentor: An Academic Advising
Journal (Pennsylvania State University's Center for Excellence in Academic Advising). Spencer is a summa cum laude graduate of Georgia State University, where he received the Phi Beta Kappa Faculty Scholarship Award and worked as an academic advisor, administrative manager, and learning coordinator. He is a member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), for which he has presented at national conferences; the Georgia Tech Academic Advising Network (GTAAN); Phi Kappa Phi; Mortar Board; and the Blue Key and Golden Key Honor Societies. He also is a Georgia Tech staff member of Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society.
