Call for Papers: Southern History of Science and Technology Annual Conference

Primary tabs

March 23-24, 2018

The Mississippi State University Department of History invites abstracts for the 12th annual meeting of SoHoST. Faculty, graduate students, and independent scholars are invited to submit proposals (300 words or fewer, please) for papers on any topic in the history, sociology, or anthropology of science, technology, and medicine. Papers on pedagogy, research methods, and digital humanities are also invited. We especially encourage proposals for joint sessions or roundtables.

SoHoST brings together new and established scholars in the history of science, technology, and medicine from all over the southern United States. Founded at Mississippi State in 2007, it is a showcase for the region’s growing community in the history of science, STS, and related fields.

Proposals may be submitted through their website:

Questions may be e-mailed to Dr. Davide Orsini at

Proposals are due by February 1, 2018.
